The recreation center in Karelia "Fox coast" is located on the indescribably beautiful, charming shores of Lake Ladoga, and it is quite logical, and even natural, that our guests strive to explore the surrounding, so inviting water surface, become the discoverer of islands, observe ringed seals or simply, riding with the family, admire the sunset. To do this, we have excellent conditions and services: an equipped pier, as well as rental of rowing or motor boats. At your choice – by the day or by the hour.

Therefore, you can easily, whenever you wish, go on an exciting voyage to experience the spirit and mystery of the local nature alone or in company, as well as explore the surroundings of Lake Ladoga or just go fishing.

Hunting is prohibited in the Ladoga Skerries National Park.

We organize field trips with an accompanying huntsman to private hunting farms and legally permitted places, please check by phone about the possibility.

The tour starts right at the base, where you will be met by a guide.

For 3-4 hours we will visit three ancient waterfalls and a real pomegranate mine, passing and passing all the historical places where you will learn completely new facts and news for yourself. You can also try to get a semi-precious stone, which you can take home as a souvenir.

In the sequence, you will visit the following places:

the Peyukhinkoski waterfall, the Lower and Upper Koirinoy waterfalls and finally the White Bridges waterfall and the pomegranate mine.

Visit to the waterfall Peyuhinkoski

It is located on the Pukamonjoki River. This is a large waterfall of several cascades. The total height is about fifty meters offhand, but this is not a steep waterfall, but an inclined one. Its length is indicated on the map at 200-300 meters.
The waterfall itself is gorgeous - powerful, wild, indomitable and unbridled. At the top, it splits into two arms, and towering cliffs rise on the opposite shore. The riverbed bends, you can't cover the waterfall with one glance.
If you go upstream, then after a hundred meters there is another bubbling cascade.
This is an amazing place in the Karelian wilderness, where you can let your imagination run wild and see a hidden goblin in an old rotten stump, and trolls frozen in the night darkness in bizarre rocks.

Visit to Koirinoy Waterfall
Koirinoya Waterfall reaches a height of about five meters and is known for its scenic beauty.
The waterfall is formed by a river passing through a narrow trough in the rock and falling beautifully down four steps, the highest of which, the lower one, reaches four meters. And at the bottom of the waterfall you can see fragments of the Mitrofanov tin-copper smelter: in the XIX century it was the only enterprise of its kind in the European part of Russia.

Waterfalls and white bridges

It is not known for certain where this pair of forest waterfalls got such names. But according to the most plausible version, the name came from the name of the nearest Finnish farm (Jukankontu) and from the word koski ("river threshold").
The "Padoon brothers," as the locals call them, would be one if it weren't for an island in the middle of the river that divides the current in two. As a result, two waterfalls were formed – an 18-meter and an 11-meter. They are so powerful that even in harsh winter they do not freeze completely, but breathe and resist the frost under the ice shell, making their way out.
A new equipped wooden staircase leads to the waterfall. You can comfortably enjoy the secluded beauty of the ancient forest waterfalls of Karelia.

As part of the expedition to the ancient waterfalls, in case of rainy weather, part of the way (with a total length of about 3 km in both directions) must be walked along a dirt forest road. At high humidity and after rain, the road can be slippery and dirty. For your comfort, we strongly recommend that you have waterproof or replaceable clothes and shoes.

 Visit to the semiprecious garnet stone deposit

Many lovers and connoisseurs of gems dream of visiting Karelia at least once in their lives, on the northern coast of Lake Ladoga, in the vicinity of the former village of Tunic, where dark red, violet-tinged almandine garnets have been mined for about 500 years. In the XVI–XVII centuries, the Swedes even mistook these stones for rubies!
The transport will take you directly to the mine, in the dumps of which you can find beautiful garnet beads. We will give you special equipment for research and treasure extraction on the spot!

An impassable abandoned road built in the early 20th century leads to the lake in places. The road contains all the attributes of difficult, wild and abandoned places: steep rocky ascents and wetlands. Along the way, we will see the foundations of abandoned Finnish farms, overgrown apple orchards and the beauty of the Karelian forest. We will touch the pristine, practically untouched flora and fauna of Karelia.

We will tell you about the history of Cape Impiniemi, about the fortifications of the 30s, about the extraction of Serdobolsky granite in various periods of history. We will make stops to walk and take pictures. 

At the final point of the route, we will stop at the unique Radon lake, which is located at the very tip of Cape Impiniemi. After a walk around the lake, depending on the time of year, you can swim in its cleanest and healthy waters.

The water temperature in the lake at any time of the year is 10-15 degrees higher than in Bolshaya Ladoga, which makes swimming even more pleasant.

In clear weather, we will have the opportunity to see the legendary Valaam Island. There will be an opportunity for a small independent walk on the cape.

We offer you an unusual recreation option for a city dweller: riding a horse-drawn sleigh (in winter) or a wooden cart (in summer).

A carriage ride involves a 3-4-hour journey with stops for a photo shoot in picturesque places, a picnic or maybe a full lunch in nature? The format is determined by you, in agreement with the base staff. Dishes (for cooking and serving) and products are taken by you, with you.

Тур занимает 4 часа с остановками в красивых местах, где можно подняться на скалы, послушать шум леса и насладиться видами.
В середине маршрута, на берегу Ладоги растет дерево желаний. К нему проложена тропа здоровья, пешком по скалам вверх.
Есть поверье, что если загадать желание и привязать ленточку, то обязательно сбудется мечта.
У нас есть ленточки от Саамского шамана за небольшую плату.
Построив пирамидку из камней тоже можно загадать желание. Есть поверье, которое гласит - каждая построенная пирамидка дает возможность родиться троллю.
На чистом воздухе просыпается зверский аппетит, поэтому по решению группы (доп. плата 1500 р+3 часа и обед) можем сменить обратный маршрут через финские хутора, посетить окопы времен ВОВ, а в это время егерь наловит рыбы для ухи или мы так же можем сварить плов в казане, или на полевой кухне кашу с тушенкой.
Шанс увидеть нерп, загорающих на скалах.

Это место для бесплатного летнего отдыха ,с совмещением отдыха с общественно-полезным трудом на благо, а именно 8 часов полезного физического труда (уход за сх животными , вырубка кустарника , облагораживании территории, сбор грибов и ягод, приготовление пищи, растопка бани для жителей Эко поселения).
Для строительства нужны добровольцы- волонтеры из числа тех, кому негде провести свободное время (отпуск)от 3 суток, кто готов совместить отдых и общение с единомышленниками с общественно-полезным трудом.
Вам будет предоставлен 4 местный шатер для глэмпинга с надувным матрасом, столиком и стульчиком. Можно привезти и поставить свою палатку, автоприцеп.
Организована столовая/кухня, холодильник.
Проживание бесплатное. Организовано снабжение незатейливыми продуктами для самостоятельного приготовления еды. В жаркие дни для купания ламбушки и озера неглубокие где вода прогревается, прогулки по интригующей нетуристической Карелии
Дзоты ,бункера,финские хутора, фундаменты, колодцы.Остальные мероприятия по инициативе постояльцев.

По форме и содержанию это будет напоминать ранее существовавшие комсомольские строительные отряды. Комфорт в первые дни минимален, но по мере обустройства и освоения будем стараться сделать палаточный лагерь более обжитым совместными усилиями. Вы можете предлагать свои решения проблем, активно генерировать идеи по всем вопросам строительства и рационального применения материала.
